Welcome
Hi! I’m Tracey Swain
Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist
Wild About Nutrition was inspired by a passion for nutrition and a desire to reconnect with real food.
We live in a world where our food is so processed that many people have forgotten how to eat the way nature intended.
Wild About Nutrition gives you Dietitian-led, honest advice so that you can change the way you eat and start living the life you want.
How Can I Help You?
Firstly, I know that feeling you feel.
The desire to create lasting positive change to improve your health or lose weight. To break free from the habits that hold you back.
Secondly, I know how scary it can be to show up as yourself and own your story. It’s much easier to use food to deal with uncomfortable feelings and suppress emotions. I also know how difficult it is to take a leap of faith and make that change.
You’ve probably tried every diet going and consequently felt tired and deprived. Finally, there’s the added overwhelm caused by the nutrition misinformation scattered across social media.
Perhaps you’ve blamed work, life, and family pressures for not taking the time to eat well, but ultimately, you’re not taking care of you. Maybe the treadmill of everyday life gets in the way of doing anything.
I get that.
It’s why I want to work with you.
I have always been passionate about nutrition. Shortly before the birth of my daughter, I decided to leave my corporate career and retrain as a Dietitian. Juggling nappies with study was challenging, but my determination to succeed paid off.
My dissertation on probiotics and gut health was published in the Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics and I graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2010.
Through private practice, I developed an interest in nutrition for women, digestive health, eating disorders, and the gut-brain connection. I have successfully treated clients with bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and bowel disorders with an approach that combines compassion, problem-solving, and relapse prevention.
My clients have consistently overcome their nutrition-related health conditions and I love hearing about their successes – sustained weight loss, a positive body image and feeling more energised are just a few examples. You can read more from my happy clients here.
Work with me and I will support you, hold you accountable, challenge your thinking, and help you achieve your health goals. I don’t label food as good, bad, clean or dirty…I just want you to rediscover how to eat real food!
If you’re ready to walk on the wild side, I’m waiting for you.
